WFMW-the emergency bag

Okay, I know every mother on the face of he earth does this, but that's because it works! I keep a canvas bag in my car and dh's with all the things we might need for our little guy (who's 6 months old right now) that I'm likely to forget. I've had a few instances of forgetting to restock the diaper bag!
  1. Disposable diapers-We cloth diaper, but it's handy to have a couple disposables around just in case.
  2. Wipes-and they come in handy for so much else, too!
  3. A baby blanket-For the emergency bag I use a polar fleece one because it folds up so small. This is not only for warmth, but also to use as a changing pad.
  4. Two jars of baby food-again, we make our own, but it's good to have canned stuff around just in case.
  5. A spare onesy-after the Great Exploding Diaper Disaster of 2009, this is a must!
  6. Disposable drinking straws-the world's most awesomest toy!

We had a similar emergency bag. You might also add an extra shirt for you in case of another Diaper Disaster....... It's no fun to have your kid in a new outfit and you're still wearing the nasty one.
