The post office is his favorite place to read numbers right now! He loves reading the digits on the P.O. boxes! When he's a little older, I might have him read me the numbers rather than just the digits.
So if you have a child who is learning his numbers, head to the post office, and spend a little time reading the box numbers. And, of course, find other opportunities to have your child read digits (price tags, addresses, etc.). It's great practice, introduces how numbers are used in everyday life, and makes a fun game a la I Spy.
And the best part is that I don't have to buy anything to do it.
Works for me! Check out more tips and tricks at We Are THAT Family.
